International Year of Millet 2023
The international year of millet 2023 was launched at India House by the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana. Though colorful and simple, participants were drawn from the Ministries responsible for Food and Agriculture, Health and Environment and other government agencies, the United Nations, Diplomatic Circles, International Trade Non Governmental Organizations such as the India Africa Trade Council and Multilateral companies with strong representation from the Kingdom Exim Group and the Media with prominence representation from the State Owned Daily Graphic
It highlighted the importance of millet for a sustainable diet for global development and economic growth.
There are economic and social benefits derived from millet, Millet being affordable has an intense nutrient composition needed by humanity for healthy growth development, and sustenance.
One of the best ways that we can do this is to adopt what we produce in Ghana by consuming millet due to its nutritious value.
